Kirkham Library is working with our Kirkham Foodbank on a new initiative to support and encourage families to read together.
Each family referred to our Foodbank will receive a Bookstart Gift for all children aged under 5. Each gift will have an envelope with activities and cut-outs, a fun picture book and a parental guidance booklet.
Even if you don’t need help from our Foodbank, you can still pop in on Mondays or Fridays between 10.30 am and 2.00 pm and just ask for a Bookstart Gift; or you can call into the library and ask for one; they would love to meet your children and talk about books and reading.
Note that Kirkham Library is also a Referral Agency for our Foodbank if you need help and is also a Warm Space where anyone can pop in and get tea, coffee and biscuits during these cold snaps.
